Wirtech AG was founded in 1995 by five partners. They were all employed by the former Wirth AG and brought much experience into mill and plant manufacturing. In 1997 the up to then rented accommodation was bought. Today the firm employs more than 30 people.

In 2003, Wirtech AG took over the know-how of the firm Jost AG in Heimberg, which had gone into insolvency. Together with the knowledge of plants, some experienced employees transferred their place of employment to Uetendorf, to Wirtech AG.
