Bio/Natural diesel

Since many years, Wirtech AG delivers turnkey plants for the processing of oil seeds within the foodstuff sector. Since 2005, we work together with the Swiss College of Agriculture (SHL) in Zollikofen. A pilot plant has been commissioned in Suberg, for the manufacture of natural diesel that today delivers the fuel for the combined heat and power plant. This project was awarded the Prix Evenir by the oil association of Switzerland.

Today, Wirtech AG plans and produces the integral processing procedure for the manufacture of pressed and filtered vegetable oil. The final product is either used directly as “Natural diesel” or processed further to Biodiesel.

We offer our solutions from a single source. Therein, the following steps are included:

• Reception of the oil seeds
• Transport and storage
• Cleaning the seeds
• Prebreak in the roller mill
• Preheating the seeds
• Pressing → Solids → Cooling → Breaking → press-cake
• Filtering

Natural diesel can be further processed by transesterification. Thereby, the glycerine is extracted from the natural diesel, thus becoming Biodiesel.
